Hello, I’m Rick Gonzalez.
I’m a husband, a dad to three incredible kids, a Navy veteran, and—still getting used to saying it—a Castle Rock resident.
For years, my family and I knew we were searching for something different. Florida had been home, but it no longer felt like our place. We wanted room to breathe. Space to slow down. A life that felt more grounded. That longing first became clear on a hiking trip to Park City, where the mountains quietly did what they do best: they changed us.
When we began exploring Colorado, we looked everywhere around Denver. City after city, town after town. And then we found Castle Rock.
It wasn’t just the views or the trails or the sense of space—it was the feeling. The kind of place where mornings feel intentional and community still matters. The kind of place that felt like home before we ever unpacked a box.
I work from home, and one of my favorite rituals is stepping out of it—finding a local coffee shop, a great cup of coffee, a new face or two, and a change of scenery. Since moving here, COFF33 has become that place for me. It’s where work feels lighter, conversations happen naturally, and Castle Rock started to feel less new and more like ours.
I’m grateful to be here, grateful for the community, and excited for what the future holds—one cup of coffee at a time.
